150th Anniversary of the Birth of Proust

To mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Marcel Proust, on Saturday 10 July 2021, numerous events are being jointly organised by the Mairie d'Illiers-Combray and the Société des Amis de Marcel Proust.

Of particular note, concerning the Société:

10.30am: presentation, at the Maison de Tante Léonie (free entry), of the painting by Thomas Alexander Harrison recently acquired by subscription;

12pm: Proustian readings by the actress Alix Bénézech, in the poplar-grove garden (open access)
