Concert-Reading in Tribute to Proust - 21 November

On Monday 21 November at 8.30pm, a concert-reading is being organised to commemorate the funeral of Marcel Proust, which was held one hundred years earlier to the day at the former church of Saint-Pierre de Chaillot.

The evening, devised in partnership by the Paroisse Saint Pierre de Chaillot and the Société des Amis de Marcel Proust, will unfold with an alternation of literary and musical moments.
The actors Didier Sandre of the Comédie Française and Alix Bénézech will read texts by Marcel Proust or evoking the writer.
Thierry Escaich, of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, and Samuel Liégeon, titular organist of the Grandes Orgues de Saint-Pierre de Chaillot, will play, on the great organ or on piano, the musical works Marcel Proust loved best.
