The Journée des Aubépines will take place on Saturday 26 September 2020 in Illiers-Combray, in a programme placed under the protection of the Guermantes, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the publication of the Côté de Guermantes.

PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY 10.30am: Arrival of participants (Maison de Tante Léonie); 11am: Talk by Elyane Dezon-Jones and Stéphane Heuet, "Lire et Illustrer Guermantes aujourd'hui"; 12pm: Lunch at the restaurant Les Aubépines; 3-5pm (travel by coach): - château de Villebon: guided tour of the château that inspired Marcel Proust for that of the Guermantes. 5.30pm: End of the day - return to the Maison de Tante Léonie. The day is organised so that participants may, if they wish, return to Paris on the 6pm train from Illiers-Combray. SNCF timetable: |
The price for the day is €52 for members, €62 for non-members.
