The Maison de Tante Léonie in the regional final of "Monument préféré des Français" !

La Maison de Tante Léonie - Musée Marcel Proust in the regional final of the "Monument préféré des Français" competition (FranceTv) !
In 1919, Marcel Proust was not, a priori, the favourite to win the Prix Goncourt against Roland Dorgelès and his harrowing account of the Great War. He won it nonetheless.
All proportions kept, the Maison de Tante Léonie - Musée Marcel Proust today finds itself, a priori, in an equally uneven contest.
This charming little establishment in the Beauce region - run by the Société des Amis de Marcel Proust, impeccably renovated last year by the Conseil départemental d'Eure-et-Loir -, at once a historic house and the only museum entirely devoted to the writer, is indeed in the regional final (Centre Val de Loire region) of the "monument préféré des Français" competition, up against... the château de Chenonceau, which has some fine assets of its own.
It is already a wonderful recognition to find ourselves in competition with one of the most sumptuous emblems of the Renaissance. But, since "nous sommes tous obligés, pour rendre la réalité supportable, d'entretenir en nous quelques petites folies", let us imagine that Proust might triumph over Catherine de Médicis !
This would be possible thanks to you, since you can vote on this site, until 23 May at 11.59pm :

Thank you, and good luck to the château de Chenonceau !
