18 May 2024
Reopening of the Maison de Tante Léonie – Musée Marcel Proust
After more than two years of renovation works carried out by the Conseil départemental d'Eure-et-Loir, with the support of the Drac Centre, the Fondation du Patrimoine and the Région Centre, and with the expertise of the Société des Amis de Marcel Proust, the Maison de Tante Léonie - Musée Marcel Proust will reopen on Saturday 18 May 2024 at 11am.
Visitors will find, restored, the historic rooms of the house that Proust knew, and will also find enlarged museum spaces, allowing us to present our collection of paintings, photographs and objects. This presentation benefits from loans from the Musée d'Orsay, loans from private individuals, and material made available to us by the Bibliothèque nationale de France (films shown in the exhibition La Fabrique de l'œuvre, in particular).
Entry will be free on 18 and 19 May, with an exceptional late opening until 10pm on 18 May 2024, for the Nuit des musées.
