Ladies and Gentlemen, dear members,
A brief letter to let you know of an event that was not mentioned in the 7 September mailing: Thursday 26 September at 7pm, at the Bibliothèque Polonaise de Paris (located on the quai d’Orléans), Mme Pyra Wise, of the "Proust" team at ITEM-CNRS, will give a lecture entitled: "L’amitié entre les Proust et les Puslowski : La Pologne dans la vie et l’œuvre de Marcel Proust". You will find more information on this subject on our website. Admission is free, but booking is required at evenements.shlp@bplp.fr.
In addition, on 25 and 26 October, a weekend on the theme "Marcel Proust et le Goncourt" will be held in Cabourg, in the presence of members of the Académie Goncourt; you will find the programme on this website.
Finally, registration for the members' day at Illiers-Combray, on Saturday 30 November, will open shortly - the programme includes a presentation of the works at the Maison de Tante Léonie and a talk by Jean-Yves Tadié on his book Marcel Proust, croquis d’une épopée, published on 14 November by éditions Gallimard. Speaking of this prestigious publishing house, do not forget that you can visit the exhibition « Marcel Proust, prix Goncourt 1919 », devised in partnership with the SAMP, at their gallery on the rue de l’Université (Paris VIIe), until 23 October.
Yours faithfully,
Jérôme Bastianelli
